Dealing with the enemy called average.

The enemy called Average
Pastor Chinedu Udechukwu

Key text: Deuteronomy 28:13, Revelations 3:15-16

As far as God is concerned, there are two positions available to man:
You are either the head or tail; You are either cold or hot.

The position called in-between (lukewarm) position, God dislikes it.. This lukewarm position is powered by a demonic spirit called AVERAGE.
This spirit is very subtle.

According to the English dictionary, average means the middle level and synonyms are common, regular, familiar, predictable. Lots of terrible things happen in the middle level such as fighting, struggling, controversy.

Great men in history and in the Bible were not average.
Many people are average today because of what they do with their time. (John 9:4).
If you’re going to make an impact in life, you have to be dissatisfied with your current position in life.

Characteristics of the Average Spirit.

1.This demon called average wants you to feel good about the stage you are in life, it creates a false sense of satisfaction.
2. It causes an insatiable desire for validation in young people of this generation.
3. It ensures you hold on to invaluable things.

What we call non-achievement is sponsored by this average spirit.

Ways that average demon operate:

1. They come to your heart to plant thoughts that makes you feel your lower or lesser than who God has made you to be. (Romans 8:37)
2. They attack your location or position; who you are in Christ. Ephesians 1:19, 2:16
3. They attack your attitude: Attitude is more powerful than anything that has happened in your life. It determines the outcome of your life

As Christians, we are called to be the head. We are called to be the best version of ourselves and nothing less.
